Shiva Zardouznia has been part of our team at Now Smile since October 2020. She’s a Certified Level II Dental Assistant and has been in the field of dentistry for 16 years now.
Shiva is committed to service excellence and honors this by ensuring that patients receive the best care. Respecting, listening to, and comforting patients by answering their questions are Shiva’s key goals in her work.
Shiva loves her job as it allows her to help others and make a difference in someone’s life. She sees working alongside Dr. Yiu as a blessing as she learns something new every day. Dr. Yiu also encourages her to take on new and challenging opportunities.
When not in the office, Shiva spends time with her family and friends. She loves long nature walks, and biking and swimming are her main activities in the summer. She also spends lots of hours hiking all year round.

Saw the Smyl clinic while I was getting a haircut across the street and decided to give them a try. It was my first dental visit after moving to Canada so I was a bit nervous. Taneshia, Shiva, Dr. Mat, and Laura could not have been more welcoming, kind, and professional. The oral exam was comprehensive and it really feels like they have your best interests in mind. Honestly the best dental service I have ever had! Was nervous to go to smyl as it had been 5 years since I had stepped foot into a dental clinic after a bad experience with a different dentist but the staff at SMYL have been wonderful. Every member of the team has made my appointments as smooth and painless as possible. Thank you smyl for your awesome care and you are stuck with me as a client :)

I had the best experience at Smyl Dentistry. It was my first visit and I was treated with amazing care, Taniesha at the front desk was extremely helpful and very friendly when helping me book my appointment. I was seen the very next day for a same day repair. I was greeted by Shiva and Dr. Matt who gave me an amazing repair. They are amazing and I truly recommend this office. I am so happy to have found them.

Wonderful dentistry office in every sense! 100% recommend. Taneshia in the front office is amazing with communication and with dealing with insurance. Dr. Matt removed my wisdom teeth and the procedure went well. They asked for feedback about how I was feeling and had overall great communication throughout the procedure. They checked back in with me the next day and Dr. Matt was happy to talk to me a few days later when I had questions about the healing process.
