Keep Them Clean

We're passionate about you practicing regular preventative care at home. While we only see you a couple of times a year, we're here to make sure you are doing everything you can every day to keep that smile healthy and you happy.

Consistent dental hygiene can help you avoid a number of dental conditions including gum disease (gingivitis) and tooth decay. A healthy routine only takes a couple of minutes out of your day, but the results can last a lifetime. Here are some important steps to follow:

Brush your teeth at last twice a day

Always brush your teeth first thing in the morning and last thing at night. You should also consider brushing between meals to clean out food particles and harmful bacteria. We recommend you use fluoride toothpaste and a soft-bristled toothbrush or an electric toothbrush.

Floss at least once a day

Flossing is incredibly important because your toothbrush alone can't reach all the areas in your mouth that need to be cleaned. We suggest flossing just before bed to remove that day's worth of tricky food debris and plaque.

Eat a balanced diet

Wellness and a nutritious diet always go hand-in-hand. A balanced diet will ensure you're getting all the essential vitamins and minerals your teeth and gums need to stay strong and healthy. Avoid excessive amounts of sugary or acidic foods, and when you do indulge make sure to rinse your mouth with water or give them a quick brushing to mitigate the negative effects.

Visit us regularly

It's important to visit us twice a year at six-month intervals. Skipping your regular check-up can lead to a dangerous delay in discovering dental health issues, which could result in more invasive treatments down the line.
